The Lancashire Procurement Cluster is a ground breaking shared service and we're creating a step change in procurement and supply chain maturity for the member trusts; Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS FT, East Lancashire NHS Trust and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS FT. We are fundamentally re-shaping the role of Procurement across the local health economy to ensure the service is fit for purpose and can deliver value and customer satisfaction in a sustainable manner. The vision is to deliver an excellent procurement service which focusses on continuous improvement, delivers value for the Trusts in terms of savings and efficiencies and improves outcomes for patients.
In terms of scale the LPC has 135 staff, manages £320m non-pay spend and its partner organisations have a collective turnover of approximately £1.5bn. We are hosted by East Lancashire NHS Trust. The LPC is committed to providing best practice procurement and logistics services to our members and our customers in the health and social care sector.
